Set up a custom delivery of meat from Whitmuir farm. We rear all the pork, as much of the beef, mutton and lamb as we can, and get the rest from nearby organic farms with the highest wefarre standards.

Just decide what you want to spend on each delivery, choose from some options and if you tick the subscribe box we'll be in touch to set up a standing order to make this a regular thing!

If you want something special, like beef skirt, a large pork belly roll, a sirloin roast or whole animal, please specifiy this in the 'special requests' section and we'll get back to you with a price and availabilty.

For a rough guide to pricing, steaks are roughly £6 each (though often less), burgers are £2.80 or so for a pack of 2, sausages are usually £3.50-£4.00 for a pack of 6-8, bacon is usually about £3.80 for a pack of 6-8 rashers. Roasts are around the £15-20 mark, depending on size. Packs of chops are seldom over £5. A sample £20 box might include mince, (£6.60), sausages (£3.70), small diced lamb (£4.00), pork belly strips (£3.70), and some lamb shanks (£3). If you select more items to include than we can fit in a box of a certain price, we'll rotate your choices over the different weeks.

You can have multiple orders going on at the same time if you want, say, a Sunday roast to turn up on Saturday and a regular supply of meat during the week. //

Details

Organic meat means meat reared to the highest standards of animal welfare, without the routine use of antibiotics and chemical enhancers, and will high quality feed in their diets and space to roam around ouside. Our organic pork herd contains 7 sows - soon to be 8 - who farrow twice a year. We keep them in stable family groups, give the piiglets 9-10 weeks to wean naturally, keep the pigs outside as much of the yaer as possible, and have even been able to start keeping some sows in teh woods! Our beef herd is small, but growing, and our cows live entirely off of grass, as is also the case at the farms we purchase beef from. Our sheep flock is also in the process of re-development, and for now we are buying in organic lamb from nearbly organic farms, and will be producing our own mutton and lamb from around August. We also rearr organi turkeys for Christmas, which you can reserve here for a deposit of £20. The final birds last year ranged between 4 and 9 kiloes for the most part, with final prices of between ££0 and £120. If you want to taste how excellent Whitmuir turkeys taste, we'd recommend you try one of the ones we have frozen from last year (when, sadly, supply exceeded demand).
