40% of the wine has been aged in French oak for eight months. This wine has a dark impenetrable core with deep red/purple hues. Aroma's of blackberry currants and blue fruits with a touch of aniseed and spicy vanilla oak. Earth, forest floor and composty nuances are noted in the back ground of the wine. The finish is intense but balanced due to the hallmark Shiraz soft velvety tannins. The 2013 wines are all exhibiting that extra burst of flavour concentration and this wine is no exception.
